What does my Basic Registration include?

The ASC Registration Package enables you to attend Scientific Sessions, Poster and Platform Presentations, plus free access to 3 continental breakfasts, 6 refreshment breaks and 2 networking receptions.

Which Annual Scientific Meeting sessions should I attend?

The Meeting is designed to provide a variety of sessions to suit the diverse interests of cytopathologists and cytotechnologists at every career level. To help you plan your Annual Scientific Meeting activities, descriptions of the types of sessions offered, as well as specific information about this year’s program, are provided online in the Registration Brochure.

Where can I find the locations of the session rooms?

Upon checking in at the ASC Registration Desk, you will receive a Program Book that includes a map of the venue and lists all the session locations.

Where can I find the abstracts?

Abstracts are included in the September or November issue of JASC. In addition, abstracts can be retrieved through the ASC website and Meeting app.

I am attending the ASC Meeting to present a poster; do I need to check in?

Yes, you should plan to check in at the ASC Registration Desk. Your Poster can be set up according to the hours noted under Exhibit Hall/Poster Presentation Hours. Other necessary information will also be posted in the Poster Guidelines.

How do I collect my CME/CMLE/SAM credits for the Meeting?

Claim all Credits through the link on the ASC Annual Scientific Meeting Web site or the ASC App. The process for claiming credits and printing a certificate for the Meeting must be completed within 90 days of the Meeting. There will be no printers available, however, you are able to complete Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs) and email or print your certificate(s) at a later date.

Can I get copies of the slide presentations?

Handouts will be available electronically to all Annual Scientific Meeting registrants approximately 1 week prior to the Meeting. Handouts are available for download and/or printing. The handouts will remain available for a period of time after the Meeting concludes. The ASC will NOT provide paper copies on site.

Please note: The ASC can only provide those handouts that are submitted by speakers. Not all speakers choose to submit handouts.

How can I participate in the Diagnostic Cytology Seminar?

Visit the Diagnostic Cytology Seminar Cases page to make your diagnoses on the cases being presented at the Meeting. The Moderator will view your online diagnoses and use the results in the presentation.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

Where do I pick up my Meeting badge?

Meeting badges and session tickets will be available upon check-in at the ASC Registration Desk.

When should I plan to arrive?

The ASC Annual Scientific Meeting Scientific Sessions begin officially on Thursday morning. The Registration Desk officially opens Thursday at 7:00 AM.

How long should I stay?

Sessions take place throughout the Annual Scientific Meeting, from Thursday morning through Sunday afternoon. The full Meeting schedule and session descriptions can be found in the Registration Brochure.

Where should I stay?

A room block has been reserved at the Grand America Hotelin Salt Lake City, UT. The ASC encourages you to book your overnight accommodations at this hotel. If the contracted room block is not met, the ASC could be penalized with attrition, which would result in increased fees.

Are travel agents available to help me with my flights?

The ASC does not have an “official” Travel Agency. Please book your air travel online or direct with the airlines.

What’s appropriate attire for the Meeting?

Attire for the Meeting is business casual. It is suggested you have a sweater or jacket with you since meeting rooms may be chilly.

Are food and refreshments provided during the Meeting?

Morning and afternoon coffee breaks are provided each day of the Meeting. In the evening, the President’s Welcome Reception and ASC Foundation Gala offer refreshments and hors d’oeuvres. Check the Schedule at a Glance for the dates and times of these events.

When is the Exhibit Hall open?

The Exhibit Hall will be open for breakfast Friday morning and meeting badges are required for entrance to the Exhibit Hall. Attendees are encouraged to visit the Exhibit Hall during breaks as refreshments will be available. Children under 16 years of age are not permitted in the Exhibit Hall.

My family will be attending the Meeting with me; can they come to the sessions?

Spouses and guests are welcome to register for the Meeting and will receive a badge allowing them access to the Exhibit Hall and all ASC-sponsored social events. However, this registration rate does not allow entrance into any of the sessions. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted in the Exhibit Hall or session rooms.
