The ASC Foundation is now accepting applications for Annual Scientific Meeting Travel Scholarships. Applications will only be accepted on the ASC Foundation Web site.   For questions regarding submission of your application, please contact the ASC National Office at (302) 543-6583 or asc@cytopathology.org.

Cytotechnologist – ASC Annual Scientific Meeting Travel Scholarship

The ASC Foundation awards up to five qualified cytotechologis a $2,000 scholarship each to attend the ASC Annual Scientific Meeting. A qualified cytotechnologist includes ASC Members who are in their first five years of membership or a member who is attending the Meeting for the first time . This scholarship, based on need and merit, defrays registration, travel and hotel costs, and includes funding for three additional sessions (can include but not limited to workshops, panel luncheons, etc.), and per diem allowance.

Fellow/Resident – ASC Annual Scientific Meeting Travel Scholarship

The ASC Foundation awards up to five qualified Pathology Residents or Cytopathology Fellows a$2,000 scholarship each to attend the ASC Annual Scientific Meeting. A qualified Pathology Resident or Cytopathology Fellow is an ASC Member who is currently in a residency or fellowship program. This scholarship, based on need and merit, defrays registration, travel and hotel costs, and will include funding for three additional sessions (can include but not limited to workshops, panel luncheons, etc.), and per diem allowance.

International – ASC Annual Scientific Meeting Travel Scholarship

The ASC Foundation will award $2,000 to an International Medical and an International Affiliate member, that have joined the ASC in the past three years to attend the ASC Annual Scientific Meeting. These scholarships, based on need and merit, will defray registration, travel and up to 4 nights hotel, and will include funding for up to three additional sessions (can include but not limited to workshops, panel luncheons, etc.), and per diem allowance. (Applications will be reviewed by the ASC Membership Committee.)

Intersociety Council for Pathology Information, Inc.

2017 Trainee Travel Award Application

Intersociety Council for Pathology Information, Inc. (ICPI) has launched a program to support trainee participation in scientific meetings organized by its sponsoring and associate member societies. A limited number of ICPI Trainee Travel Awards are available in 2017.

Trainee Travel Award: $500.00 will be awarded to trainees who are an author/co-author on an accepted abstract at the meeting they are attending. If you are a recipient of the ICPI Pathology Honor Society, your application will be given priority.

The award is a stipend intended to offset the travel costs for attending one of ICPI’s member societies’ meetings. Awardees must currently be a trainee (medical student, graduate student, resident, fellow) member of one of the American Society of Cytopathology.
