CALL FOR PRESENTATION PROPOSALS
DUE JANUARY 15, 2013, MIDNIGHT, EASTERN TIME

NEW & IMPORTANT:
-The submission site is NEW this year, so EVERYONE will need to create a new account. You ASC login WILL NOT work.
-Speakers who presented in Las Vegas do not need to resubmit their proposals from 2012. Repeat sessions will be invited per evaluations of the session in Las Vegas. If you want to propose a topic different from what was presented in Las Vegas or in a different configuration or with different speakers, please submit a full proposal this year. You are also welcome to resubmit a proposal from previous years that were not accepted.
-Please review the Presentation Session Types for details on each format:
- Panel Luncheons & Workshops REQUIRE SAMs (post-tests with answer explanations and references) per ABP guidelines for building SAM questions, and handouts.
- Workshops REQUIRE you to bring a laptop.
- Scientific Sessions REQUIRE SAMs and handouts.
- Roundtable Discussions DO NOT have Audio/Visual capabilities (no laptops or PowerPoints are able to be used.) Handouts are required.
-You will have the capability to select all preferred session types for your proposal, but the Scientific Program Committee will make the final decision on the format.
-Consider these items that the Committee looks at when reviewing: Overall Quality, Applicable to Practice, Cutting Edge, Need for Topic, Content, Speaker/Institutional Qualifications.
-The ASC has also provided a list of topics suggestions that will assist with practice gaps and needs in education
-Be sure to “SUBMIT” at the end to be considered for a presentation.
-Please save the submission web site to serve as a portal for viewing/editing submissions and notifications, since you will be able to return to your submission anytime through the due date to edit.
-PRESENTATION PROPOSALS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL MIDNIGHT, EASTERN TIME, JANUARY 15, 2013.
-The Scientific Program Committee will review all proposals and will notify the submitters by April 30, 2013. Please check your SPAM/Junk folders for this email.
The Scientific Program Committee selects the following sessions by invitation only:
- Guest Lecture
The guest lecture offers attendees the opportunity to hear insight and vision first-hand from a leader in the field of medicine.
- Diagnostic Cytology Seminar
Provides the opportunity for attendees to make diagnostic decisions and compare the decisions with nationally known experts.
- Video Microscopy Tutorials
Audience review of interesting cases using a microscope attached to a video microscope.
- Presidents’ Rounds
Provides an opportunity for Past Presidents of the ASC to give educational or motivational seminars to small groups of attendees.
