Call for Presentations
ACCEPTANCE PERIOD: December 2011 – January 16, 2012
The ASC has provided a list of topic suggestions that will assist with practice gaps and needs in education.
PLEASE view the Presentation Session Types for session details and photos. Consider these items that the Committee looks at when reviewing: Overall Quality, Applicable to Practice, Cutting Edge, Need for Topic, Speaker Qualifications.

The Scientific Program Committee will review all proposals and will notify the submitters in April 2012. If you do not receive a notification by April 30, 2012, please log into the Abstract Central Portal Web site above and “View your Submission” to see any notifications you may have missed or may have been sent into your SPAM folder.
- Login, click “Submission” tab on top, then choose the “Presentation Proposal Submission” radio button, and “View Submissions” from left navigation bar.
- You are able to “View Proof” of what was submitted for review by the Committee or “View Emails” to see any correspondence sent regarding the proposals proofs.
The Scientific Program Committee accepts presentation proposals for the following sessions from December 2011 – January 2012. Please check the ASC Web site during this time for details.
- Current Issues in Cytology
Focuses on new areas or unresolved problems in cytology and is usually presented as a panel discussion. - State of the Art Symposium
Designed to provide indepth information on important topics in cytology. - Panel Luncheon Seminars
Interactive groups formatted around a single topic and presented by nationally known experts. - Cytology Workshops
Quality microscopic and non-microscopic seminars on various topics in small interactive groups. - Roundtable Discussions
Tables of different topics allowing attendees to have small and intimate discussions.
The Scientific Program Committee selects the following sessions by invitation only:
- Guest Lecture
The guest lecture offers attendees the opportunity to hear insight and vision firstt-hand from a leader in the field of medicine. - Diagnostic Cytology Seminar
Provides the opportunity for attendees to make diagnostic decisions and compare the decisions with nationally known experts. - Video Microscopy Tutorials
Audience review of interesting cases using a microscope attached to a video microscope. - Presidents’ Rounds
Provides an opportunity for Past Presidents of the ASC to give educational or motivational seminars to small groups of attendees. - Lunch with the Professor
Allows attendees to have na ip close and personal, informatl, interaction with distinguished Professors in our field.
